Thank you for the very helpful and informative content but I’m a little bit confused. Where did I make the distinction as far as whether I was creating a business page versus just a fan page or Is there even such a distinction anymore? This is important to me because my understanding was if I have a business page I get more analytics and I can advertise differently but I didn’t see anywhere where I made the distinction. I just clicked create page.

Facebook changes the way you create a page, there is no longer a need to specify if it’s fan page or not

Great tutorial! I do have a question. I’m trying to create my page and I don’t get the options you get. Is there a way to change the editing options? Or is this based on when you create your page? For example, I have seen some pages that have permanently on the left an “About us” section, where you can see the description. In my case, I see a section to add that, but then it does not pop when you open the page (you have to click “About” and then “Details about you” – so you have to fish for this info). Thanks!
Hi David. It probably depends on the template you have chosen. Go to the page settings option, then select “templates and tabs” from the main menu to see if you can change it.
