Awesome! A quick one: between lawyer and law firm, which one is more likely to improve my ranking?

Looking at my keyword research tool it would seem that the keyword “lawyer” is 5x more searched than “law firm” in the US and are equally as hard to rank for so I would be inclined to choose lawyer as a category. Make sure that your landing page is in line with your category. Just test it out
In regards to putting KW’s in your business name, your example with the Attorney certainly makes sense. But they clearly use “attorney” in their business name elsewhere.
What about, for example, a Pressure Washing company called “ABC Spray”. ABC Spray is their business name and they don’t ever use the term “pressure washing” in their business name.
Are you recommending that changing their business name as “ABC Spray Pressure Washing” is a good idea?
I do understand this is technically against guidelines, just curious how you approach this kind of thing that’s a bit more gray area.

If that is the keyword you are after I would simply add it the business logo. So you can have ABC spray and right under it “pressure washing”. Add the new logo to your business profile and everywhere on your website then add the keyword to your business name. It’s highly unlikely the listing will be suspended as you will somehow abide by the rules.
