    If you’re reading this comment wondering whether to watch this or not, I spent hours going through Google’s own ‘Beginners Analytics’ video course, and found Ranking Academy’s far more useful. Gives you a great snapshot overview of the control panel and some excellent short cuts to powerful info that Googles videos didn’t even mention. Far clearer and more concise you won’t regret investing the half hour.

    Great Video! One question on the conversion. When you used the destination as a goal, is the conversion measuring the amount of actual downloads on that page? or just the amount of people who arrive at the download page (aka the destination)? Once they arrive a the download page, people don’t necessarily click the download button

      @Ranking Academy Thank you. 🙂 I have one question. I am in search of the answer just now, so hope you can refer me to the relevant video, if you have it. I made my first call only campaign in Google Ads and now I would like to have the calls from the campaign set as goals in Google Analytics. While searching for the answer I only come across explanations about calls from the company website, but so far I have nothing on tracking calls directly from the paid ad. Thank you in advance!

    Really awesome practical tips on analytics! I notice when the source/medium of landing pages shows google cpc. I assume the sales landing pages are placed under the same domain as the rest of services pages. Whether the sales landing pages are indexed or not, it’s doesn’t matter, correct?

      Many thanks. Yes, even if your page is not indexed it will show up in your google analytics as long as it sits under the same domain.
