Thank you for a great video. I have a website for my business which I built in WordPress. Should the URL’s for any photos appearing on my website be linked back to my GMB page or to the homepage of my website – I’m asking this question in terms of what Google likes to help you rank higher. I hope this question makes sense 🙂
@Ranking Academy Thank you so much for your reply. I assume they should be geo-tagged though, correct? And if so, should the geo tag be to the location of the photo or to my physical business address. Thank you in advance!
Hi Laurie. You don’t need to link your photos anywhere unless you and people to be redirected to a relevant page when clicking on them
Thank you so much for the video, you helped me understand my marketing a lot better!
You’re so welcome!
Can I use your videos for how to’s for my clients?
Your presentations are professional, concise and spot on and I’d love to add them to a catalog I can refer privately.
Let me know what annotations I’d need, no problem!
Thanks
Hi Stephen. You can creae your own YouTube playlist and send it to your client. You don’t even need my authorisation
This was FANTASTIC. Thanks so much for making this so simple for users. 🙏🏼
You’re so welcome!
Hi luc, your videos are great. Helped a lot with my GMB. I would like to see a video on how we can rebrand the existing business on GMB. “Change in name” due to expansion or limiting to a specific expertise.
Thanks for your comment. I will add your request to my list
Thank you for a great tutorial. Short, sweet, and to the point. I am now excited to create my Google Business Page. I was nervous before watching your video. Wishing you continued success and blessings in all that you do. Stay safe and healthy!
@Ranking Academy You’re welcome and thank you!
Many thanks and best of luck
Can i have an online one on one tutor with you please?
Hi Margaret. Yes you can – https://rankingacademy.co.uk/live-sessions/
Thank you for your talented Tutorials; they helped me in implementing my hotel on GMB and benefit from all options available. But for some business search I see another display of GMB, listing the following components :
Stable release; Initial release; Original authors; Size ; Written in; License; Extension etc.
where I can find those components to fill? I can send example if you want
Hi Anne Marie. I have absolutely no idea what these are and never seen this on any listing before. Would be great if you could send me a screenshot
Love your videos – been a great help to our business. Can you answer the following? If you have more than one GMB geographic listing how do you link each GMB listing to google ads targeted to that specific location?
Hi Jenny. Thanks a lot. Unfortunately I am not a Google Ads specialist so i wouldn’t want to mislead you with the wrong type of information.
Hi, I just started watching your videos. Awesome!!! I’ve learned a lot already. I have a question: I am an independent contract who works at a local business ( rent a booth). Now, I am going to start my own business. Is there a way for me to take all my personal reviews from under the previews business to my own business now?
Hi jordania
Hi Jordania. Not entirely sure what you mean. Are you trying to migrate reviews from an existing Google listing to a new listing you are creating for your own business?
Hi, I have few questions. Can I use same contact number for two separate google my business accounts? Can I create two GMB accounts on same verification address? so that I get their verification codes at my home. my business locations are different but my verification location will be same. let me know if you have any information about it. And tbh, your videos are to the point and informative. Stay Blessed.
Are you trying to create listings for two different Businesses?
Appreciate your video, thank you so much 😊 this was really helpful and easy
You’re so welcome Fatima. Thanks for your comment
Hi Luc great content again. I tried to remove my address from GMB so that I would just be listed as servicing an area but it now says I’m in Germany. Can you change once you’ve already chosen bricks and motor ? Hope this makes sense
@Ranking Academy Hi Luc, thanks for the reply. Once I verified this was resolved. Thanks again
Yes you can. You should just technically delete the address. Not sure why it says you’re in Germany now
Thanks for the video.
I have a local business (with my name) which I got verified by Google My Business a while ago. Now, recently, Google started displaying a Knowledge Panel with my name. And so, I now have two separate entities – Google Knowledge Panel and Google My Business – but they appear separately. How do I merge them so that they appear together?
Google panel And Google My business are two different things. You can’t merge them
This was so helpful. I really like how you take people step by step through the whole process and explain the benefits of what they are doing. thank you!
You are welcome Nicole.
You’re so welcome! Thanks for your comment Nicole
Hi, Luc. Thanks for the helpful video. I would like to get some advice from you.
1) I have a young Remodeling agency, but I don’t have an office yet. I serve a location within a 20 km radius of where I live, which includes 10 small towns. In Google My Business, I listed my home address as my location. But I am extremely reluctant to list my residential address for this purpose. I would like to ask how much I would lose for local search if I don’t put my address in Google My Business at all, just put “service area” for my business (10 cities).
2) I also have a website that lists my NAP. If I now remove my home address as my location, how do I then promote my website (SEO) by doing citations of my business in various directories without an address?
@Ranking Academy Luс, thanks for replying. Good luck!)
Hi There. Removing your address will not affect your rankings. Your business will simply be considered as a Service Area type of business. Google knows where you are already as you’ve alredy provided an address when claiming your listing.
Regarding your NAP, I wouldn’t spend a huge amount of time claiming citations as they now play a minimal role in boosting your visibility. Instead I’d recommend you invest effort on link building which will yield much better returns.
Another great video, Luc! Clear, concise and packed with lots of helpful information. I plan on sharing this with many of my digital marketing customers who struggle with Google My Business. You’re the best!

Awesome, thank you so much Michael!
Thanks for keeping it short and sweet. Would you recommend registering a business name with the state and opening a business checking account, prior to creating a GMB listing? If a legal brand contains the city name, would this prevent Google from suspending the account? I’ve always been a fan of providing Google with as much info as possible.
Many thanks Geoffrey. Google’s guidelines are very clear. Your name should reflect your business’ real-world name, as used consistently on your storefront, website, stationery, and as known to customers. So if you register a business and the name includes your city name there is no risk of being suspended by Google as it will be a legitimate name. Hope this makes sense
