How to Create a Google Ads Account the Right Way

I will show you how to create a Google Ads account. I personally would not recommend setting up a campaign when you initially create your Google Ads account. You should first set-up your billing information and conversion tracking before planning any campaigns.

To create a Google Ads account, follow these steps:

Go to the Google Ads website: Navigate to the Google Ads homepage ( ).

Click 'Start now': On the homepage, click the "Start now" button to begin the process of creating a new Google Ads account.

Sign in with your Google account: If you already have a Google account (such as a Gmail account), sign in with your existing credentials. If you don't have a Google account, you can create one by clicking on "Create account" and following the prompts.

Fill in your business information: Once you're signed in, you'll be asked to provide some basic information about your business, such as your country, time zone, and currency. Make sure to choose the correct settings, as these will be used for billing and reporting purposes.

Skip setting up your first campaign: While you can create a campaign in this step, I would recommend skipping that and moving on to the next step. You can create your Google Ads account without a campaign.

Enter your billing information: In order to activate your account and run your ads, you'll need to enter your billing information. This includes your payment method (such as a credit card) and billing address. Make sure to review and accept the Google Ads terms and conditions before submitting your information.

Review and submit: Review your campaign settings and ad content to ensure everything is correct. Once you're satisfied, click "Submit" to launch your campaign.

Manage your account: After setting up your first campaign, you'll be taken to the Google Ads dashboard, where you can manage your campaigns, view performance reports, and adjust your account settings as needed.
